Westdale home (No.129 Melton Road)

  • Westdale home is for retired men and women over the age of 65 who prefer not to cope with the responsibility of complete independence. The atmosphere is of a friendly community in which each person’s privacy is respected.
  • Westdale flats (see below) are suitable for anyone of retirement age who is able to live independently and have freedom from the burden of property ownership. There is however an option of Warden aided services.

Both properties are converted Edwardian houses and share a site with spacious gardens in a pleasant residential area of West Bridgford. There is easy access to shops and bus services. The care home was founded in 1966 and both houses are owned and managed by a small charitable housing association sponsored by the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Society of Friends (Quakers), although it is not necessary to be a Quaker for residency.
